A Letter From Luka

Hello, dear backers!

Just a small personal update from your friendly neighborhood creator. Here we are, just about a year late, but we're at the end. It's been a learning experience. Both good and exhausting. I'm both supremely happy to hear that (I suspect) everyone has gotten their books—I should now be getting mine as well, finally, soon.

For much of August I tuned out of most regular communications, combining laptop repairs with some much needed rest ... and ... as it turned out, social distancing because of a new largish outbreak here in South Korea (now getting under control again, thank goodness).

But, before I wrap everything up with the much anticipated (and delightfully terrible) yoga video from a mountaintop (I will admit to having spent the last three months getting into better shape, so I will not embarrass myself too much—I am not beyond the human frailty of vanity)...I have something else to present to you.

At the very start, I shared the free introduction to the UVG—a 70-odd page pdf of the setting that I had released back in May 2018. Now I've updated that pdf, taking advantage of all that I've learned about layout and some of the colorful new art. Finally, when you ask yourself, "what can I share with my players?" the answer presents itself: this. Share this pdf.

I'm sure you've already seen all the art in the pdf, but since I laid it out much more loosely (not working to a page limit of any sort, since I don't plan to print this guide), some of it got a bit more space to breathe.

Thank you so much for this journey.

It has been, like the road, both high and low, but ultimately fulfilling and victorious.

Hello Everyone! Exalted Funeral here and we just wanted to say thank you for such a great campaign. You might see this message across all of our campaigns but nonetheless the thanks is still there. 

Luka and ourselves have a larger, more intimate (hes still making me do Yoga) goodbye planned here but we wanted to give some clarification on issues and communication now that it has ended.

If you need anything regarding your pledge or concerning your pledges delivery please email us at [email protected] . Please include all relevant information such as name, your issue, and pledge number. 

International friends with an issue please submit a ticket with Gamesquest AND send us an email. If you have any communication that is ongoing with GQ please include us in future correspondence.

Hello, everyone. We'd hoped to have only good news today, but there you go, we don't. It's a year that keeps on giving.

First, the good news.

Thanks to you. The backers. We've managed to make something wonderful and now also ... award-winning.

This was only possible thanks to all of you. Our backers who believed in the Ultraviolet Grasslands, and us as artists and publishers. You made this possible, so this victory is also, certainly yours.

Now, the bad news.

Luka had sincerely hoped that we would all be celebrating together, but it seems many of us must still add a dose of waiting to the mix.

We still cannot say precisely when our backers in Europe will receive their copies of the UVG, save that our distributor is working on it and it should be soon. We have full faith that everyone will receive their books shortly, and we thank you all for your kind patience.

Hopefully a bit more art and the acceptance videos will provide some small modicum of soothe or balm for all waiting souls.

It's not a yoga video yet, but that's also coming. Once the rain lets up. And Luka's ankle fixes itself up after a misfortune involving a coffee shop and an ambush step.
